Sustainable Development Policy Print E-mail

(Community, environment and suppliers)

Sustainable development is the most significant challenge facing businesses and society as a whole in the 21st century. The Odyssey Group is committed to taking firm and proactive measures to address all necessary environmental, economic, and social issues. By providing services that embody high environmental quality, we enhance client satisfaction and contribute to sustainable development worldwide.

We are committed to action in the following areas:

Compliance with laws and regulations as well as respective voluntary regulation, standards and requirements agreed upon with each client.

Proactive participation in local community activities and actively sponsor three schools in the South East of England.

Strengthening the foundations of employee environmental awareness, through education, in order to address environmental challenges.

Green purchasing and procurement by continuing to research vendors’ environmental awareness and product friendliness in order to determine selection.

The Odyssey commitments

Purchasing

  • We actively seek to purchase goods from suppliers that are environmentally friendly such as recycled paper, printer cartridges and consumables.
  • We investigate and ensure that our suppliers have a green policy and approach to procurement.

Recycling

  • We aim to recycle optimum levels of our office waste.
  • We invite prospective clients to return unwanted marketing materials for re-use.

Clients

  • We actively look for opportunities to reduce the volume of paper used in the course of our programmes; for example CD manuals will be provided to delegates instead of paper based folders, when practical.
  • We aim to have training documentation completed on-line and filed electronically e.g. evaluation questionnaires and development inventories.
