What is an OdysseyEXPERIENCE™?

Central to our ethos is creating what odyssey alumni have described as ‘defining development experiences’.  Key development points in a career that fundamentally alter personal perceptions and practices and act as reference points for future growth and success. These defining experiences will vary from business to business and from individual to individual. Which is why every in-house OdysseyEXPERIENCE™ is bespoke and never simply recycled.  Compared with more classically designed and delivered programmes, Odyssey experiences have shown up to a 400% better return on the consolidation of learning into the work place than traditionally designed and delivered interventions. 

What do we do?

We provide development programmes and consultancy. The programmes may be bespoke and restricted to participants from just the one organisation, or they can be open programmes to promote networking with participants from different organisations; and that’s where our similarity with others ends.  We don’t only preach change in others. We ‘practice what we preach‘, firmly believing we have brought something entirely new and fresh to the development industry.  First and foremost, we live in the real world. As new (or classical) proven research is identified that would add value to the work we do with you, programmes are redesigned to incorporate it (With your agreement) . Permanently working in support of participants’ line managers, programmes are reinforced by ongoing development prompting, topical chat rooms, course material libraries and online coaching.

We combine input sessions, case studies and theory with hands-on exercises, discussion groups and facilitator coaching. All reflected back to the real world of work in which participants operate. Some programmes are residential due to the volume and intensity of work, demanding a high level of commitment from both participants and their organisations.
